Some local travel tips about Bruges and the venue:

✔️ Bruges is only 1-hour train ride from Brussels 🚅

✔️ There is a direct train from Brussels Airport(Zaventem) to Bruges ✈️

✔️ There is a direct shuttlebus from Charleroi Airport to Bruges (Flibco.com)✈️

✔️Free shuttle bus from the train station (Kiss & Ride) into the city (from 7.00hr till 19.00 hr)- closest stop to B&B Coupure : Molenbrug 🚐

✔️Know that there are some car-free and restricted access streets - Certain streets in the historic city center are car-free or have vehicle restrictions at specific times. This is not the case to access B&B Coupure !

 

Arriving by Car

At the Highway get off at Brugge - Zeebrugge - St-Michiels. Follow direction St-Michiels - centrum and you will arrive at the back side of the station.
Drive straight on and keep the station at your right hand side, so you will see the front side of the train station.
Go straight on over the bridge and turn left at the traffic lights. You're now driving over Katelijne bridge, into Katelijnestraat.
Immediately over the bridge turn right. Now you go straight on until you have to turn left (the other option is the canal), you are now in Coupure. The house number 22 is further down the street past Coupure bridge (dead-end street for cars). Park your car along the B&B, if you take a public parking space you have to take a ticket!

Taking a Taxi

There are a wide range of taxi firms operating in Bruges. Order your taxi in advance, and get picked up where you want. Or hail a taxi at one of the official taxi stands

Taking public Bus (De Lijn & Shuttle)

At the station take bus 1 (takes about 12 minutes) and you will be dropped off 3 minutes walking distance from the B&B. Ask the driver to give you a sign. (bus stop: Schaarstraat)

Alternative route bus 2 (take about 15 minutes) and get off at bus stop: Molenburg and 5 minutes walking to the B&B.

To get back to the train station : free shuttle bus every 20 minutes from 07.00 till 19.00 hr - closest stop is Gentpoortstraat or a little further stop Molenburg.

On Foot

Cross the ring road across the train station and take the foot path along the old fortifications. Follow this green belt straight on and you will get to Coupure in about 20 minutes. (walking with luggage might take longer, pack light!)

Parking

Between 09:00 a.m. and 08:00 p.m. surface level parking in the city center is limited in time (4 hours maximum) and cost 16€ including  Sundays and bank holidays.
Payment can be made either via text message, or using the app 4411, bank card or cash. In each of these cases, you have to register one’s correct license plate number.

In front of our home there are public parking facilities, keep the restricted parking time (4hrs) in mind.

We propose to our guests parking in a private garage (please contact us for availability and reservation).
